4. How Can I be approved to receive a call or visit an inmate at Daviess/DeKalb County Regional Jail? 

Daviess/DeKalb County Regional jail requires all potential visitors or inmate call recipients to seek prior approval and have their names added to the inmate’s approved members’ list. • Administrative Services – The regional jail has two on-site nurses, a training coordinator, a maintenance supervisor, and a commissary/mail room supervisor. The jail staff work under the supervision of a director to provide administrative services like transporting detainees to court, medical care, and nutritious meals.          

6. Does Daviess/DeKalb County Regional Jail serve Daviess and DeKalb counties only? 

No. As a regional jail, the correctional facility rents out bed space to other neighboring law enforcement agencies. In turn, it detains offenders from four counties and four municipalities neighboring Daviess and DeKalb counties.
